Rajnath Singh flags off an all-girls NCC expedition to 5,578-metre Parang La, where cadets will undertake a 30-day high-altitude trek across glaciers and snowfields under women officers.
Led by women officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force, the expedition will take the all-girls team through one of the hardest high-altitude routes undertaken by such a group. The challenging journey is aimed at building resilience and confidence among the participating cadets.
Addressing the event, Singh described the expedition as a testament to India's 'Nari Shakti'. He urged the cadets to maintain a strong focus on safety and environmental care throughout the trek while also developing ties with local communities.
The expedition highlights the NCC's efforts to nurture disciplined young leaders through demanding adventure activities. The 30-day journey across glaciers, snowfields and the high-altitude Parang La Pass is expected to test the cadets' resilience, discipline and confidence.
